Online Photo Resizer in KB and Pixels
Online forms usually describe the photo with three numbers: its size (in pixels or cm), a file-size limit in KB, and a format, almost always JPG. A photo straight from a phone camera is several MB and thousands of pixels wide, so the form rejects it.
Pick your exam in the table below to use its exact rule, or open Custom Size and enter any width, height and KB limit yourself. The photo is cropped, resized and compressed in your browser, and the finished file is checked against your numbers before you download it.

Photo Resizer
- Size given in cm or inches? Enter it in that unit and choose the DPI the form asks for (200 DPI if it doesn't say). For example, 3.5 × 4.5 cm is 276 × 354 px at 200 DPI and 413 × 531 px at 300 DPI.
- Keep the ratio lock on unless the form gives both width and height. When the shape changes, you crop the photo to the new frame, so your face is never stretched.
- A range such as 20–50 KB means a file that is too small is rejected too. Choose a range and enter both numbers; the result screen shows whether the file landed inside it.
- Portals disagree on whether 1 KB is 1000 or 1024 bytes, so PhotoSuvidha keeps the file inside the limit under both readings.
- To lower only the KB of a photo you already have, use the Image Compressor in the Tools tab. It lowers the JPG quality first and makes the photo smaller only if that isn't enough.
- You can save as JPG, PNG or PDF. Most exam portals accept only JPG (JPEG), so keep JPG unless the form says otherwise.
Common mistakes
- A busy or dark background. Stand in front of a plain, light wall, or use the background cleaner.
- Face too small. Your head and shoulders should fill most of the photo.
- A cap, dark glasses or strong shadows on the face.
- An old photo. The photo should look like you do today.
- Compressing in another app that changes the pixel size, so the form rejects it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I resize a photo to 50 KB?
Open Custom Size, choose Photo, enter the size the form asks for, and set the file size to under 50 KB. If the form gives no pixel size and you only need a smaller file, use the Image Compressor in the Tools tab and choose 50 KB.
How do I resize a photo to an exact size like 200 × 230 pixels?
In Custom Size, choose px and type 200 and 230, set the KB limit, then upload your photo. You move and zoom it inside a 200 × 230 frame, and the downloaded file is exactly 200 × 230 px.
What is the difference between pixels and KB?
Pixels (or cm at a given DPI) are the photo's width and height; KB is how much space the file takes. Forms usually limit both, and fixing one does not fix the other: a 200 × 230 px photo can still be over the KB limit.
Will a small KB limit make my photo blurry?
PhotoSuvidha uses the highest JPG quality that still fits your limit, and you see the result before you download it. If it looks blurry, crop closer to your head and shoulders so fewer details need to fit, or check whether the form allows more KB.
Is my photo uploaded or stored anywhere?
No. PhotoSuvidha resizes and compresses the image inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. The image is never sent to our server.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no charge.
