PhotoSuvidha

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

PhotoSuvidha is a free tool that resizes and compresses photos and signatures for exam and ID application forms. You use it without an account. This page explains what happens to your photos and what little data we collect.

Your photos never leave your device

  • Every photo, signature, thumb impression or document you open is processed inside your web browser, on your own phone or computer. The image is not uploaded to our server or to anyone else.
  • The background cleaner downloads its model files from photosuvidha.in once, then runs on your device. Your photo is not sent anywhere to be cleaned.
  • The name and date you type for the Name & Date strip are drawn onto the photo on your device and are not sent to us.
  • The image is held in the page's memory only; it is gone when you close or reload the page.

What is stored on your device

  • Your language choice (a cookie named NEXT_LOCALE).
  • The exam and size you picked, so a page refresh doesn't lose it (session storage, cleared when you close the tab).
  • A count of your downloads, and whether you have already answered or closed the feedback question (local storage).

What we measure

  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. We count page visits and tool steps, such as “photo uploaded”, “exam selected” or “signature downloaded”, with the exam, the kind of file and the file size in KB. We never send the image, the file name, a typed name or anything that identifies you. Google Analytics uses cookies, and Google processes your IP address to estimate a rough location. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
  • Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Cookie-free page-view and page-speed measurements from our hosting provider.
  • Download counter. When our database is connected, each download records the exam, the kind of file, its size in bytes and (for a custom size) the size settings, linked to a random device ID kept in a signed cookie (ps_device). It is used to count downloads per device and contains no personal details.

Feedback and messages

If you rate PhotoSuvidha after a download, or write to us on the contact page, we receive what you send (the rating, your message and, if you give it, your email address), plus the page it came from, your language and your Indian state as estimated by our host. It reaches us by email through our mail provider, Brevo. We use it only to improve PhotoSuvidha and to reply to you.

Sharing

We don't sell or share your data, except with the service providers named above (Vercel for hosting, Google for analytics, Brevo for email, and Supabase for the download counter when connected), who process it for us.

Your choices

  • You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser; the tool keeps working.
  • You can use Google's browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
  • To ask about or delete a message you sent us, write to us on the contact page.

Changes

If we change how PhotoSuvidha handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
