SSC Signature Resizer

SSC asks for your signature as a JPG file of 10–20 KB, about 6 × 2 cm. The same rule is used across SSC exams such as CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD, CPO and Stenographer.

Take a photo of your signature, crop it, and download a file that already meets the size and KB limit.

SSC: what to know

  • The limit has a minimum as well as a maximum (10–20 KB). A very plain signature can come out too small; PhotoSuvidha then offers to pad the file up to the minimum without changing the picture.
  • SSC takes your photo live inside the form, so the signature is the only image you upload.
  • The CHSL 2026 notice gives about 6.0 × 2.0 cm in one paragraph and 4.0 × 2.0 cm in its annexure. We follow the paragraph (6 × 2 cm). Check the notice for your own exam.

How to resize your signature for SSC

  1. 1Sign on plain white paper with a black or blue pen. Press firmly.
  2. 2Take a photo of it from straight above, in good light, without shadows.
  3. 3Tap “Resize SSC signature”, pick the photo and crop close around the signature.
  4. 4Download the 6 × 2 cm (472 × 157 px), 10–20 KB JPG file and upload it in the form.

Common mistakes

  • Signing on lined, coloured or crumpled paper.
  • Lots of empty paper around the signature. Crop close so it stays readable.
  • A faint pen, or a photo taken at an angle.
  • A file below the minimum KB. Some forms reject very small files.

Frequently asked questions

What is the SSC signature size?

SSC asks for the signature as a JPG file of 10–20 KB, sized 6 × 2 cm (472 × 157 px).

Can I use the same signature file for CGL, CHSL and MTS?

Yes, as long as each notice gives the same rule. SSC can change it in a new notification, so check each time you apply.

My signature file is below the minimum KB. What do I do?

On the download screen, choose “Make it … KB”. PhotoSuvidha adds invisible filler to the file so it reaches the minimum; the picture stays exactly the same.

Is my photo uploaded or stored anywhere?

No. PhotoSuvidha resizes and compresses the image inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. The image is never sent to our server.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no charge.
