UPSC Signature Resizer (three signatures)

UPSC's online application asks for one image with three signatures, one below the other, in black ink on white paper. The file must be a JPG of 20–100 KB, and the instructions give the image dimensions as 350–500 pixels.

PhotoSuvidha makes it 350 × 500 px, crops it straight and names the file signature.jpg.

UPSC: what to know

  • Sign three times on the same sheet, one below the other, before you take the photo. A single signature doesn't meet the rule.
  • Use black ink on plain white paper.
  • Keep all three signatures inside the crop box, with a small margin around them.

How to resize your signature for UPSC

  1. 1Sign on plain white paper with a black or blue pen. Press firmly.
  2. 2Take a photo of it from straight above, in good light, without shadows.
  3. 3Tap “Resize UPSC signature”, pick the photo and crop close around the signature.
  4. 4Download the 350 × 500 px, 20–100 KB JPG file and upload it in the form.

Common mistakes

  • Signing on lined, coloured or crumpled paper.
  • Lots of empty paper around the signature. Crop close so it stays readable.
  • A faint pen, or a photo taken at an angle.
  • A file below the minimum KB. Some forms reject very small files.

UPSC asks for the signature as a JPG file of 20–100 KB, sized 350 × 500 px.

Can I sign on three separate papers and join them?

No. PhotoSuvidha resizes and compresses the image inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. The image is never sent to our server.
